Gifted Tree History:
Desireé Irene Moore grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana where she started dancing at the age of two. She began her dance training under the influence of Dari Pennino, Derek Reese, and Keisha Mckey.

After moving to Southern California in 2005, she realized that she wanted to pursue dance as a career and began expanding her dance training. She performed and competed throughout high school, and won many awards at the regional and national level. After graduating she continued training at many studios and theaters in Los Angeles where she found her love for stage production and choreography.

Since then, Desireé has shared her love of dance by teaching at many schools, dance studios and community centers in the South Bay and Orange County. Her drive to teach children, passion for the arts, and experience teaching led her to create Gifted Tree.

“Dance was the best gift I ever received—it truly shaped me as an individual, gave me self-confidence, and a way to express myself at a young age. I love to share my passion for the arts with my students in hopes they find their own gifts as well.” – Miss Desireé

Post 2020, re-entering the classroom it was apparent that the children and families we served needed more then movement.

I became a Certified Trauma Informed Breathwork Facilitator in 2021, and continue to further my education in order to provide children with somatic enrichment and tools that will last a lifetime.

Our newest program, Mindfulness and Movement launched in 2023 and I’m so excited to continue to share it.
